I strapped on my old backpack to the back of the bike. It actually fits pretty good! Sure, it’s not enough space for a round-the-world excursion, but it will be plenty capable of bringing home breakfast tacos on Sunday morning.

Nice Pants that Actually Fit
I tried on some REV-IT! Zip pants at Lone Star BMW this morning and was so surprised that they actually fit! It was a size XS Short, and they were a little snug with jeans underneath them, but not at all uncomfortable. Without jeans, they felt great too. These are definitely on the top of my list now.

I ordered a new jacket, and it finally arrived! It’s a Firstgear Rush Tex and is very comfortable. I thought about getting the black version, but the brown looks pretty nice, plus I will probably get some black pants eventually so the tan/brown will look good with it. It’s a shame that my helmet looks so massive!

I really like the look of this helmet. Right now I have a full-face HJC similar to this, but like the open-face look better. I know it’s safer to have the DOT/Snell approved helmet I use now, but still…!

New Helmet
Got a new helmet yesterday. It’s an HJC CL-14, and pretty nice, with both DOT and SNELL approval. It’s got five adjustable vents, and fits snugly, but the padding is such that my glasses go on easily. I have my old helmet up for sale, but no takers yet.
